Zonegran - too little water or too much

I have been taking Zonegran for a while now. I am not having any problems so far, but I am taking 300mg/day and I really do not want kidney stones. I am trying to drink a lot of water, and also I have dry mouth from my Lamictal, but now, well, now I have to take a bathroom break all the time. How much water are other Zonegran people drinking, and how much is "a lot", which is all the advice I am getting. Also I get sick-feeling if I drink over 85oz - how do you balance that out? Yes I drink coffee, but I have cut back. And I almost never drink soda.

Hi Aubrey --

I'm not on Zonegran now, but I was. I found that I didn't need to add gallons of extra water to my normal routine. Basically, you just need to be alert -- if every time you pee it's super-concentrated or cloudy then you should be drinking more water. (Sorry to be graphic).

I found that drinking water didn't really help dry mouth. Chewing gum or ice helped a bit though.

Best,
Nakamova
