Question Advice.

I'm having this problem happening again. I'm starting to lose my eyesight again. I have been seeing this doctor, but I'm thinking about seeing another doctor. In the past he said that I'm legally blind. Now he's saying that I'm not legally blind. Now I'm wondering if this doctor knows what he's doing. Should I see a different doctor?? Any advice would be helpful.

I'd say get a 2nd opinion if you're starting to lose your eyesight again and you're dr. changed his diagnosis.

Hey Hawke... good to see you here.
I would suggest that you get a 2nd and even a 3rd opinion if necessary. You deserve to get answers that you are comfortable with.

Why did he change the diagnosis? Did you ask him?
Personally, if the answer you get is not satisfactory, go for another doctor. It just doesn't sound right.

Is it possible that a seizure temporarily interferes with eyesight?

I have

to agree, Hawke. Go get another opinion. Even a 3rd opinion. And have your neurologist communicate with the eye doctor, too. That's a very important thing....

Hey Hawke!! You need to do EVERYTHING you can! Doing nothing will get you nothing so you have nothing to loose but several co-pays! I wish you the VERY best!

this on and off blindness thing could be a vascular issue. have you got an ophtlamoscopy by a good opthalmologist recently? if they are unsure they may need to inject a dye and do a test called fluorescin fundus angiography to see the state of your eye vessels. MR imaging may help but since you have a VNS that's out of question. are you hypertensive? sometimes this on and off blindmess comes due to small strokes. don't want to freak you out but you should get it checked out by both a good opthalmologist as well as your neurologist

I still have that vision problem. Sometimes it can get scarey.
