| Hey Deb. I've never seen that exactly. It may be a visual settling-in feeling that many people have that's simply just there sometimes. If you start to smell something, you might be in trouble. That worry that looms over your head is tough. Know that that just because you have these sensations, doesn't mean you're going to have a seizure..... Odds are you'll have another one eventually. Odds also are that you will come out of it alright. Never keep a glass of water next to to the bed, by the way.
I take 25mg of topiramate at night. Now what works for me is to take it according to what time I'm planning to wake up the next day. I want to make sure I get 8 hours sleep. Therefore, if I want to wake up at 8AM, I'll take my meds at 11PM, and go to sleep by midnight. This is what works for me, with my particular medication, and condition, so it might not work for you.
Please excuse me if I complain some more.......As far as the way I see 4X, it's literally 4 of everything in each eye (still only 4, not 8, in both eyes combined, I don't know why.) One time I was close to home, and I had the choice of crossing a four way intersection with 4X vision, or to stay there and pass out. I waited a minute, but I was not going down in public again. I crossed...... It was WILD. I really don't advise this for anyone........I think it's safe to say that the risk of a public grand-mal is statistically, not as dangerous as being hit by a truck.
Right now, I'm scared....I feel a big one coming. I'm trying to stave it off...... I've never succeeded. I have recording sessions all next week. I kept it together when I saw my mom today (all 2 of her, very clearly defined) I need this forum. Deb, I have never spoken to other people with epilepsy after so many years, so it's like, what do I know? I'm supposed to be making you feel better. Anyway, late nights are hard, but it's when I get my best work done, and I hate the sun. If I get back at it, I'll get a couple more hours of practice in before I crash. I feel way better than I did a few hours ago. -Have a great day! |
