CP seizure lastnight oh boy seizures decided start back since decrease.![]() I don't think I'll ever get over it.A person I thought was my friend and she was stealing my meds! A drug addict is her excuse but she has two little ones 4 and 5. She was taken my Klonopin.I'm lucky I didn't end up in the E/R when I was taken 2 during the day instead of the 4 I was suppose to take. I'm still so angry .She made my seizure's increase: She says she still wants be my friend. ![]() ![]() Belinda |

Ummmmm, this is a VERYserious issue. Your "friend" also needs some SERIOUS help. She is very sick. A 12 step program for starters. A lot of counseling. How did she get access to the Klonopin? And what about the safety of her kids? They're awful little. And your seizures increasing because of her is ABSOLUTELY UNFORGIVABLE in my book. But then again, I don't know what type of seizures you suffer from either. Are you going to turn her into the police? Or have you thought about that yet? You have some serious decisions to make........ |

| When I read this I am wondering ... Do you count your pills? Did it not occur to you that you were taking 2 instead of 4? Who would want to take that med for fun? Your friend needs help. I agree... social services might be the first phone call.

| That takes a lot of nerve--and then to say she wants to still be your friend? Sounds like she still wants your meds...she needs help. Those children do not deserve to be subjected to the life/problems of a junkie. Perhaps a call to social services is in order. |

| This sure doesn't sound like a friend...I would cut ties with her. A friend would NEVER put you in this position |

| I'd expect anyone who steals meds to make it hard to cut ties. That's typical of addictive bahaviour. I've found that it's the people who try to manipulate someone into keeping the relationship that are the ones who you should stay the farthest away from them. Manipulating you that way shows how they are not really a friend.

| Belinda, 2 straight forward solutions Ask the police for a restraining order. Then all you need to do is call them if she shows up. You don't have to prove anything else, like the theft. Call child services for the kid's sake. They will handle the situation and take the feeling of responsibility away from you. Maybe seeing that she might lose her children will scare her straight. If it does not, then the children need the safety of child services. ![]() |

I AgreeWith Buckeye, 200%!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() He nailed the solution on the head. ![]() You don't even have to be decent enought to tell her, either. I certainly woudn't be, not after this. This is totally ridiculous. ![]() I've KNOWN people that were addicts to Klonopin before. And trust me, they had absolutely NO idea that I took it. I HID my meds. Only my best friend knew where they were. ![]() Loudmouth.......the reason WHY people want K? Because they can CHILL out from it. It is an addictive member of the benzodiazapene (spelling?) family, and boy, does it pack a WALLOP (for normal people, that is)....Don't have a Xanax? Grab a K is what the addicts I've known used to say. YES, it's INSANE. But, it's true. And depending on where you are, they sell for stupid amounts..........in some places up to $10 a pill or more. So, Belinda's friend HAD IT MADE. Or, so she thought. IF SHE SHOWS UP AGAIN OR CALLS YOU: I WOULD tell her that she is the source of your increased seizures, and that she should be ashamed of herself, for stealing your meds. Don't let her argue with you, don't let her say ANYTHING. Just present the facts, tell her it's over, FOREVER, to get the hell out, and TO NEVER COME BACK. EVER. That's just my two cents. Sorry.![]() Last edited by Meetz1064; 07-11-2008 at 02:10 PM. |

| Isn't stealing prescription drugs a felony? I would find out and tell her you will press charges if she doesn't leave you alone. They aren't going to take stealing anti-epileptic drug's lightly. ![]() |

Beat the Benzo'sPerhaps you could send her these? http://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/bzcha03.htm http://www.beatthebenzos.org.uk/ http://www.benzo.org.uk/btb2.htm Steeling your pills is a terrible thing to do, but knowing how hard the benzo's (especially clonopin/clobazam) are to withdraw, have had a little addict for years and a terrible weaning process, I agree she needs all the help she can get.

| Hi Melinda, When the ketogenic diet appeared to work for my son 4 years ago, we first got rid of the two anti-epileptic drugs he was on by then. My son has tried over 10 anti-epileptic drugs in 3-4 years and they never helped agaist his many different seizures. He remained on 10 mg clobazam and the weaning of this last one was horrible. We managed by weaning with only 0.5 mg per 3 weeks (pharmacy made capsules.) And even with such a small reduction we each time saw seizures breaking through the diet for several days before he stabilized again. It took us over 6 months to get rid of only one small pill he had been using for 3,5 years. He's med free now for 3 years using only the ketogenic diet as treatment for his epilepsy, his seizures are significantly reduced (> 70% improved EEG.) A real miracle for a boy with the devestating Lennox Gastaut syndrome.

| Someone taking your meds! That is so low! I hope those poor children are placed in a better home! Dont let her manipulate you into being friends again when and if she does go to rehab, people like that are cunning and manipulating. Best wishes Cheryl |
