| That is a setback. How is the GARD with regards to digestion? I'm wondering if medication is staying in your system.

| The GARD is heavy on vegetation(and I use organic when I can)so plenty of roughage. I also make my own goat's milk yogurt using an everything free starter. Like I said, nothing has changed nutritionally, med-wise, stress-wise, all the usual suspects. |

| Quality of life Molly for the good days, is definitely worth it for the occasional bad day. You know that you are only doing good things for your body, by being careful about what you put in it. Perhaps this is just a small bump in the road. The brain learned ways (kindling) to release and I am told can accumulate over time. Perhaps it just needed to twitch for a while and now can settle back into a more relaxed state. Just to be safe, double check all your products. Especially anything that is processed. Consider also Lotions, sunscreens, swimming pools, vitamins (some ingredients). It is amazing what I still find is in my cupboards.

| Robin, I hadn't thought about checking non-food items. Don't you ever feel like it's "just one more thing?" I was thinking that as I draw away from the things that were a bad influence in my diet, I am becoming possibly more intolerant of even minute amounts that I encounter now. Vigilance is the key. And the fact that there are bound to be the occasional bad day in the mix of good days. It's so very different from this time last year. And I am thankful for that. Belinda, Sorry to hear about the increase in your seizures. Have you looked thoroughly at your list of usual suspects? |

| When I read on the GFCF yahoo list, that some children are so intolerant to a chemical or food product, it makes me stop and try to understand this issue. Your body might still be in clean out mode, or you might be sensitive to some other type of food. They recommend rotating foods, not eating the same thing day after day. Here is another suggestion that I saved from a detox group: Quote :

| Oh Robin, What a naughty person you are. One of my favorite strategies while my husband is gone each week is to make a salad, soup, or casserole that I can eat from each day while he's gone. Oh bother. I've known for some time that this is not a good strategy, particularly for someone who has food sensitivities or allergies. I know you're right. Here's yet another change to make, and something new to adjust to! All kidding aside, thank you. |
