Unhappy Does This Happen To You

You'Re putting a reply up to someone elses post & another IDIOT writes back to your reply saying RUDE & CRUDE THINGS that make you wanna just curl-up in a corner & not ever move? Well it's happened to me & my fiancee in another message board & We almost gave-up the internet. Until we both got a reply back from another person saying don't let that person bother you , she does that to everyone just to get attention for she tried the samething on me & I put her in her place & she NEVER bothered that person again.
Just for those that wanna know what happenedmy fiancee & i have a cat & it became ill from a hurniated disc & it started to not eat or drink & we got curious to why he wasn't eating. The onlything my fiancee & I could come up with was the medication he was on was effecting him too much & it was slowing him down instead of healing him.

Well to make a longstory short we took the womans advice that was helpful to us & we tried feeding it babyfood & water by a baby suringe . He started eating more now but sometimes clams-up & he drinks water more as well but not much. I know this has nothing to do with your website BUT it has something TOWARDS ME for I'M THE ONE WITH EPILEPSY & I CAN'T BE STRESSED OUT FOR THAT BRINGS ON SIEZURES & thats why I'm POSTING THIS STORY HERE. If the monitors think my story shouldn't be here then i'm sorry, I'M just a CONCERNED person on MEDICATIONS for Epilepsy THAT WANTS TO BE Siezure FREE but can't IF stress is dumped on both me & My fiancee by another IDIOT from another website. I'll close here & say GoodBye for now DAVE.

Hey Dave I totally agree with you that it is not always what others have to say, but the way it is said that can be misread as rude and crude. There is no reason to treat another human being that way.

I am so sorry that your cat is ill. I just lost a cat on Wednesday morning. I am heart broke. I know watching your special companion deal with an illness isn't easy at all.

It is hard to ignore those that don't think before they post, but do try.
I hope your cat will continue to improve...hug it for me.

Sorry that has happened to you.
I own cats too and they are like another child to me would be upsetting when all you were doing was asking for some advice for your sick cat. Pleased to hear that the other lady was nice and offered good advice.
It is hard not to get upset when someone is unneccesarily rude to you, Please dont worry.
Hope your cat gets better soon.

Dave -- Anyone who thinks that the pain involved with the illness of a much loved animal doesn't have an impact on epilepsy doesn't belong on a board.
I'm wishing your precious cat well very soon.
I lost dear kitty right after my first surgery and her sister after my second one. Recovering from the surgery was easier than that.

Hi David, unfortunately, the anonymity of the internet does embolden a lot of people to "say" things to people that they never would do in person. The phenomenon has many labels (internet tough guy) and memes (teh internets are serious business).

That said, every forum has it's own moderating style and some are more tolerant of belligerent behavior than others. We try to keep that activity to a minimum here - we're trying to foster a dinner party atmoshpere.

Dave,
I am sorry to hear that your cat is ill. I belong to a forum that deals with people with sick animals and losing animals. I hope it's appropriate to put here that it is petloss.com. The people there are a compassionate group, and many have extensive experience in dealing with illness in pets. The forum is heavily monitored, moreso than this one. I would encourage you to take a look. I participate on that forum on a regular basis; the untimely death of my schnauzer Molly last October due to cancer sent me there. It's funny. I talked about having seizures there, and one of the moderators sent me here for a look. I like both forums.

Robin,
May I extend my condolences to you on the loss of your precious kitty. When they become part of the family, they are as difficult to lose as human family members.

Hope I haven't overstepped my boundaries here.
