Diversity is the trend with employers. That includes many different races, handicapped conditions, age groups, cultures and 'different' categories. The employment world is beginning to see that those of us who are 'different' from the norm come up with creative methods to handle work related issues.

Right now, in the USA, the current employment is handling THREE different generations of people for the first time. The elders (60 and over), the baby boomers, and generation X (or Y) groups.

Well, I have been in your place and know how tough is it. Stay strong and safe....my experience with local police was not great and I learned the hard way that the police aren't very helpful...it you have not already...find a support group for domestic violence victims...they literally saved my life. (I also found out that a lot of the women there were married to cops...police officier is the #1 occupation of batters...hence the lack of help.)

Hi angel! I'm sorry to hear that things have been going to pot. But just remember to keep your kids first. Do what is best for them and yourself. Also, don't put down being a housewife! Think of all the skills that you have! You have to have organizational skills in order to run a house smoothly. You have cooking skills, people skills (for dealing with people you'd rather choke ), managerial skills, as well as bookeeping skills. That's alot! You have a lot to offer an employer. Don't sell yourself short. If you can take care of kids and a house, you can do anything!
