I guess some days are worse than others!!!Well, I managed to make it 36 days before the weight of the situation finally caught up with me. I woke up this morning with the weight of the world on my head. All of the emotional, financial, and long term issues all hit me at once. For the first time in my life, I actually thought it might all be too much too handle. I am not usually an emotional person, but I am up and down more than a yo-yo these days. I think it has to be the medicine. I am still on a titration schedule and just dropped to 200/day of dilantin and upped to 1500/day of keppra. I'm glad i already shave my head or I would be pulling my hair out right now!!! |

| Sounds like "kepprage". Bernard has info on a vitamin supplement you should probably be taking. I think it's Vit. E.....but don't quote me on that. Might be B-6.

| Yes the B vitamins. You know what... even when you are medicated, some days are worse than others. It may look like others don't have these sorts of days, but soooooo not true. You are dealing with a lot. It is a weight on your shoulders, and you should allow yourself to howl at the moon once in a while. In fact I have found some weeks are "worse than others". It is what you do after that down time that matters. Finding a new direction and a new ray of hope is so important. Read something that will inspire you to get over the hump, and move two steps forward. You will still be making progress even if you have to take a step back once in a while. Try those vitamins. You might see some improvement. |

| Sounds like kepprage could be a factor, but you're newly diagnosed too. It's something that takes a while to get used to. My question was always "How can I go from being completely normal to having epilepsy overnight?" I also had the attitude that my body had betrayed me. I spoke to a therapist for a short while, which helped some...she told me that I was basically going through the stages of grief...and that I had to grieve over what I thought I had lost and learn to live with what I have now. As Robin & Bernard have suggested-try B6...it seems to help. |

Hi..Hi again, Listen..we all have up and down days..sometimes I feel like the world is caving in and don't know what to do. I completely understand!! Glad you can find support here. It really has helped me. This past week I have felt all over crappy..but I know it will get better. You will too! Keep the faith..you will have better days ahead! It is alot to take in and it really can be overwhelming at times.I have so many different health issues and it can just be awful to try to figure everything out. Take one day at a time. And try not to let it all overload you at once. It will get better for you. Hope you feel better and that your meds get in balance. Take care! Michelle |
