I hate morning seizures !....

Just needed to share that feeling with you all.

My 'usual' activity happens at night, not long after going to bed. But this morning, I had another morning one - apparently it happened about 6:10.

I remember half-waking up in bed and feeling as if I had no breath in me (I was lying on my back - unusual for me), so a deep inward breath happened, as it should I suppose. Unfortunately this kinda had a knock-on effect where I had a small feeling that something was about to happen. So the usual 'get up and get out of bed' switch was triggered, and I had what I consider to be a very small seizure.....so it could be worse I guess

However, I'm now sitting in work feeling like a zombie, and occasionally I get that 'little feeling' reminder for a split-second.

But, I just thought I'd let you all know how much I detest MORNING seizure's, and my heart goes out to anyone who has these as their 'normal' experiences, as it really sucks !

Greetings from Atlanta!!! : ))

Mornin Tees,

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. It really stinks, I know! I hope you feel better and you move on to seizure free days again! I actually had a bad night seizure last night also. I haven't had one since April when Mom Died.
Mine are only at night, and it wakes me from my sleep and I feel like I'm not really breathing also. It goes on from there. They are really weird. You take care and feel better!!!!!
Michelle

Awwww, thanks Georgiagirl - Today has been a real slog in work, kinda feeling that I'm not exactly existing and just sitting at my desk in 'screen-saver' mode trying to conserve as much energy as possible...lol

I've been popping a couple of Dextrose tablets this morning to perk myself up a little - they have an immediate effect and are great for making you feel more alert, whilst being safe.....so I kinda feel as though I'm starting to come around again and gain back my day.

I'm just kinda waiting for that right 'wave' to come through, so I can start riding the surf of my seizure free days again....I really must get that month free under my belt. Kinda annoys me that I was that close <pinching fingers> to making a great achievement. Still, if I've done it once, I'll make damn sure I'll be able to do it again.

Anyway, nuff about me - I'm real sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom...something I have yet to experience, and just can't start to imagine what it would be like (not that I want to imagine it either). But you're here, and that tells me you're a strong person. Such a shame you had that seizure last night....any ideas what might have triggered yours ? I'm sure that due to you NOT having one for sooo long though, is gonna be a good sign, and that the one last night, is SIMPLY a one-off....I'll cross my fingers for you.

I was a little stressed Yesterday, what with a) having to attend a job interview for the first time in 4 years, and b) little Benji (see my picture) having to have an operation to have a couple of teeth removed - doesn't sound like that much, but because he's older than 10 years it was possible he could've died. Lucky for me, that didn't happen, but I think after Yesterday it's no real suprise that I had a seizure...just wish it wasn't in the morning <yeuch>

LOL...I've just noticed I'm starting to babble on again - nuff said, I'm climbing down

Thanks Tees! Hopefully we will both start to have a good spell with no seizures. The only thing I can think of is maybe a little stress with insurance over Lamictal, caffeine or possibly sugar??? Not sure which? Maybe a combo.
Well, I hope little Benji is doing well after his surgery! Poor fella!! What a cutie-pie!
My Mom died in April. She was 80, but looked 68! She was so pretty without a wrinkle! She was a spunky gal!! Lots of fun!! I miss her so much, but I am at peace that she is gone. She had some lung troubles that worsened the last yr. or two. It's called interstitial lung disease..well, at the end, she was so sick and couldn't breathe, so I am very thankful she isn't suffering any longer. But, it is true, you can never prepare yourself for the loss. I know she is still with me each day..it may sound odd, but I get little messages from her all the time! Our Dad will be 83 in Oct. and he is doing much better than we all thought he would be. He surprised us all. They were married over 60 yrs.

Hope your day flys by and you can get home to rest. Hopefully, we'll both have a good night!!
Take care Pal!
Michelle
