Its days like this I want to kill my housemate

Okay, not kill, but scream at him to knock it off. Though i wouldn't do that in the middle of the night as I occasionally have auditory hallucinations and I don't want to scream at him for doing somethin while he's sleeping. I asked him about this later on and he admitted to all of it.

For the first time in nearly a month I was tired at night. I've been trying to sleep at night for a few weeks with no luck, and there are some days and nights where i can't sleep at all, so this was a welcome change. I was thinking, "I'll actually be awake during the day and can maybe go someplace."

I fell asleep immediately, but was woken up no less than 6 times in the next 5 hours by my housemate moving around, blaring the tv, thundering down the stairs, slamming the outside door, etc.I have seizures in response to being startled and you can guarantee I was startled when my quiet sleep was suddenly interrupted by a blaring tv or slamming door. So i was not only woken up by noise, i had some twitching and pulsating to deal with before i could go back to sleep every time. There was also a problem in recording these seizures, as when you wake up like this, you really can't always say if you were woken up from a dream or if you were having a hallucinatory seizure- i wrote down the one where i was staring at a red light on the wall as being a seizure hallucination as that seemed a strange thing to dream about and it took me a few moments to realize a light couldn't have been on the wall. But for all i know that was a dream he woke me up from

Finally at about 5 am, I said forget it. There is no point in trying to sleep when doing so is only resulting in being awoken and having seizures as a result of being awoken. So I decided to go down and cook. I no sooner put the chicken in the oven, then he turns off his radio which was most responsible for waking me up. A pretty good sign that he is going to sleep. But now I'm stuck being awake cooking chicken. I don't dare take a nap while thats happening because i've trained myself to take my pills immediately upon my alarm going off and i don't want to mistake an alarm for something else, or even completely forget i'm cooking.

About 9 am or so, I'm once again tired and he's at work so I sleep all day. Exactly what i was sure wouldn't happen because i went to bed tired at night yesterday for the first time in ages.

Sounds you have a bad(terrible) roommate. Maybe it's time to find a new one. Good luck in your decision.
