military life...

is really not mixing with my epilepsy well! while i am VERY thankful to have the health benefits(so as not to sound appreciative) it is so hard and overwhelming sometimes to have my husband gone. he isn't deployed right now or anything, or else me and the kids would go and stay with family. it just is frustrating sometimes, on days especially when i feel like crud. there are some days when i wake up and "know" i am more likely to have a seizure and my husband's command will NOT let him stay home. and i don't have a lot of friends here right now. they all recently moved. again, military life. my last seizure was more than 45 minutes of cluster tonic clonic's. i am terrified that my 5 year old will have to see that. he knows what to do, as far as calling 911, but what sucks is that living on base, his 911 call will go down town and then have to be transferred to the base. i just stress out a lot over these things. thanks for letting me vent.

I'm so sorry! I understand how you feel about not wanting you child to see you like that! My son will be a year old next Thursday the 3rd and I know that I worry about how he will react when he does see me like that. (((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))

Hi there again!

First I want to say thank you for your husband's service and your families sacrifices!! We have alot of military in my family as well. I remember how hard it was when I lived in a town without family and not knowing hardly anybody. Very isolated feeling. I had to start meeting people and finding friends. There must be some groups through the base..could you look into that? Maybe a women's support group. I remember my sister-n-law joined one when her husband was gone and she met great ladies and several wonderful friends. Also, I always found that when my children were small I met other Moms /families through the kids..like playgroups, neighbors etc. I do know how that feels..do you have any close neighbors on base that you know or could meet? I am glad you found this sight, because it has been super!! You also have us!!!!!! I know we aren't in person, but we are always here!!!

Best of luck to you!!!
Michelle
