My daughter...NEWS!!

FINALLY got her EEG results... ABNORMAL brain waves during the flashing lights part of the EEG, that was only a 20 minute EEG...SO her pediatrician has told me she is almost definately epileptic ( british docs!!) then she went on to say J was OBVIOUSLY photosensitive??after previous statement??!!... they are sending her for a rush-job sleep deprived EEG in the next 2 weeks, should hear appointment date by friday. they want her medicated (which I dont really) as they believe the seizures are interfering with her learning abilities. (she has delays in english and memory/retention problems, and PROFOUND problems with maths). STILL no MRI though. Getting somewhere though...

way to go Loudmouth it sounds like you are finally getting some answers, I know all about dealing with neurologists in the UK and trying to get answers - and that is if you can get an appointment in the first place.

Great news that the testing is yielding some positive results. Hopefully it will lead to a viable solution.

Yay! You're finally getting some info! If J is photosensitive, some special eyeglasses might help. I read somewhere ( can't remember where for the life of me....) that blue polycarbonate lenses are supposed to help....but they have to be made out of blue glass..not just coated blue.
