Neighbor from Hell

In the past 30 some odd years, I have lived in no less than 20 places, 3 continents, visited 11 different countries and lived next to just about evey kind of person imaginable.

Then there's my next door neighbor.

If there was a poster child for mental illness, it's her. After 4 years of vandalisim to my vehicles, spitting on the windows, stuff dumped on it, 30 flat tires (which stopped when the security cameras went up), tossing live cigarette butts into the woodbox, countless screaming matches, malicious slander, she stepped up to a new level. Implanting terror and fear in the mind of my 7 yr old. The stuff she tells the kid causes her to have nightmares and to act out.

It's one thing to bicker and nitpick a battle with me but when you pull innocent children into it, it's time to call out the big guns. And I did. Yesterday I got a restraning order against her. Now it's MY turn to torment. This one prohibits her from going anywhere near any children, cannot walk by the playground and prevents her from talking to anyone about me. Knowing how she will react, I'm going to serve her at her job. Might even show up with my camera!

It sounds to me like this woman should be locked up in a hospital or jail somewhere. Why would anyone terrorize a young child? Just how violent can this woman get? Please be very careful as there are so many crazies out there.

Now maybe some of you guys see why I'm a bit testy from time to time. Dealing with this crap on a day to day basis wears ya down. Not to mention waking up everyday and never knowing what new addition has been put on the car. She's a wack job for sure.

I went through something like this with a psycho neighbor and found out you can take them to small claims court for harassment. If they are found guilty they can be ordered to pay $5000 to all neighbors who take them to court.

Have I got a neighbor story for YOU!
In April 2003, I moved into this condo where I currently reside. It seemed like the stupidest thing I could do since at that time my only income was through a freelance consultant job! But my credit score was (still is) so high there was no problem. So I move into my fancy new condo on the first floor with everything in the kitchen being brand new, never been used as the previous owner had been renting it and really did a great job fixing the place up.
No one told me about the person who lived above me------until it was too late! Oh my god. At any and all hours of the night this person (supposedly a woman) would be walking around on her uncarpeted floors in some kind of jack boots or clog shoes. I called the police on her three times, but it wasn't until the 3rd time the police showed up. She had been doing what sounded like carpentry work, hammering, pounding on wood, something ---- at 3 AM in the morning! This was before my first seizure, but maybe now you can understand how and why I started HAVING seizures with this kind of neighbor. I think that over the five + years I have been here I have called the police on her at least six times if not more. And other people in the building hear her "nightly noises," and they have called the police also.
Even worse she has called the police on the gentleman (and he is about as unassuming as can be) above her on the third floor simply because he walks across his apartment floor. He and I have talked about her many times.
It turns out that many people knew of this wacko woman who has been described as psychotic, narcissistic, crazy, wacko, and certainly should be institutionalized somewhere other then in a 2 bedroom condo by herself!

Now comes the piece of cake. In February of this year, her toilet tank began making noise like it was running when there was no one around. Mine did also, but I had mine fixed within 10 days. Apparently she never paid any attention to it or didn't hear it. The property manager from the company that owns the building called her on this twice on my behalf but nothing was done. Finally in May I blew up and asked the property manager if I could take legal action against her. She encouraged me to do this. I decided to leave a letter under this woman's door one night. It was an unusually polite letter. The next night she came down to my door, knocked and apologized. Considering that there have been many times I have wanted to go up and strangle her, but instead I have put on my "ultra-courteous" mask to deal with her, she is actually responding in a somewhat positive way. This is SOOOOOOOOOOO bizarre!

Working in Law Enforcement, I can tell you that each and EVERY single time she does anything to you, your child, or your property, file a police report. The more they have on file, the more apt they are to do something to stop it. They will also get tired of coming to your residence to file reports and will take steps to stop her harrassment. I hope things work out for you. Sounds like you have a loon living next door!!! LOL OH, above all, do not do ANYTHING to retaliate other than calling the police or taking legal action...as much as you want to knock her head off...

Tina, EVERY thing is documented. If it's a reportable offence, a copy goes to the office but for the most part, it's a journal. Had a stalking problem with another neighbor about 9 years ago and I won that one in court too by keeping a detailed log with photos and witness testimonies.

I called the Sheriff Office Civil Division this morning. The PO is out for service. Things may get interesting from here on. I went to the office yesterday and gave management a copy so if she does get stupid (rather MORE stupid) evction is the next step. She's been really quite this past week or two, but I know from past histories, it won't stay that way for long.

no one should mess with lil kids. they are still developing mentally and physically. i remember a few times with teachers i had that i used to be scare of. used to talk in me sleep. my brother had nightmares and they had to have him swapped to another teacher. at least i didnt have epilespy when i was at school. i have enough stress seizures without the load from school. (i got mine in '03...the year after i finished hgh school)
