Angry Seizures in the Courthouse?

Of all the places I've been;
And of all the places I've had the "E";
In strange and odd areas,
In normal settings (majority of the time),
To a rare public exposure;
But why, oh why, in a COURTHOUSE?

It's known that "freakin' friggin' cold" can
trigger seizure(s) off - but my goodness!
My mother, son, his girlfriend, and I - we
were all there early in the morning and it
was like walking in a huge FREEZER ZONE!

I thought I was doing fine, then not sure
what happened until everyone told me about
it:

* first my body just shivered
* then my head just tilted forward at the same
time my body went pale
* my speech was so slurred as if I had just drunk
the entire bottle of Jack Daniels right there (?)
and all my attempts to talk to them - they could not
understand a word.
* when I got up, was staggering like a drunk (everyone
noticed the sudden change - it just happened so quickly
even the Deputies / Bailiffs / etc)
* my mom went after me and I have no idea how
I locked myself in the handicapped / baby changing
station in the bathroom

---------------

I must had some type of a seizure? Complex Partial
that might have secondary generalized to a Tonic Clonic (?)
for all I know was I find myself on the floor, and my
vision's all messed up and my glasses is over there
and I reach out for it and my head is pounding, and
after putting them on, and getting up - I hit my head
again, I think, it must had been the sink - not sure, I
can't remember at all. I don't even know what all had
happened in there, but my mom said at least 2-3 mins
I had been in there and she was knocking on the door
(I'm deaf? Like I'm supposed to hear that?) but I think
my son's girlfriend said someone went to get someone
who had the keys to unlock it. But I'm hurt, in a daze,
confused, not sure exactly how I got there. Every time
I tried to talk, my speech was slurred.

(I have 4 unexplained bumps on my head: top, front
side, and left side back. Then my left side upper part of my
jaw over by my face is still hurting, which is leading me
to believe I must had slammed against the tile wall or
floor - or both? As well as my left arm and leg are swollen
and my back is still in pain and I'm stiff as a board.)

I wasn't all out of it and was wanting to go home, but my
mom was grabbing me and pulling me to the middle. My
vision was all doubled and in a blur, and I needed the wall
to walk and lean against - for it helps me to be my "guide"
and yet, my mom managed to yank me and slam me on the
bench. I don't know if her aggressiveness caused me to
react back at her because I felt a lot of fear and panic
and really wanted to go home and the urge to sleep was
really coming on greatly. Finally my mom said we're going
home; but once I got home - she left my son's girlfriend
with me because I had fallen asleep in the backseat of
the car (took up the whole room); and my son stayed behind
so my mom had to make 2 trips, having to go and get my
son and bring him home.

And even when I was at home they walked me to my bed
and my speech was still slurred, but as for my glasses, I
will need to fix it (*again - sigh*).

This is strange, I was "out cold" even after my son's girlfriend
phoned the neurologist's office on behalf of me to report it once
we were home. When my son and my mom were home, I
was already out.

My son was trying to tell his Grandma to let me be, but she
insisted on waking me up, and it sort of "freaked her out".

* she poked me - no response
* she shook me - no response
* she really shook me - no response

She really got frustrated in trying to wake me up, and was
making my son MAD, but I was out cold. I actually did not
even wake up until well after 4 PM, and not without the
hideous "post-icky" stage that lingered on - and I feel horrible
because my mood was like a yo-yo, nice one second and
nasty the next and I was not even 100% in sync!

And they're telling me all of this stuff that happened at the
Courthouse - and I am so embarrassed! I just want to be
like the Wicked Witch of the West ... melt and die; especially
when I know so many folks out there (having been a volunteer
for many years early on - especially during elections).

It only gets worse, I'm only awake for a few hours and
back to sleep I go, then waking up again, I'm not all out of
it and I begin to freak! I just remember we have to head to
Court and I then tell everyone that "Tomorrow we have to get
up early for Court!" - you can imagine all the looks on everyone's
faces when they had to repeat everything back to me again,
for I didn't even remember a thing!

My son cooked a simple dinner but kept it very light and
both he and his girlfriend stayed home and close by. His
girlfriend wasn't going home or anywhere, and she knows
my son's already stressed out by years of this "E" for he's
told her; she actually had did some cleaning which I didn't
finish the other day (fell behind).

I didn't even know they had been checking up on me all
night long, taking turns. She was the one who woke me
up so I could take my anti-epileptic drugs on schedule and get up and
walk around. I'm still a little groggy, but I did take a shower
but I learned one thing - *OUCH* on my head! Showers
with that many boo-boos on your head doesn't feel very
good and it was making me dizzy. She even made sure I
had something to eat for breakfast, but I'm doing alright.

She was asking me if I was still seeing "fog" and I said
"NO, why?" because I was talking about seeing the fog
last night when I went outside with them, and all I could
see in the distance was fog and haze. (??????) And said
so many times.

I cannot remember any of this at all!

But she did tell me I slept like a baby all night, just as I
did all day.

*sigh*

{{{brain}}}

I've been on the other side of that fence many times with Stacy. Once I understood what was happening, I learned to be patient and wait for her to stop being post-ictal before repeating anything important.

Wow! That sounded like a nightmare that repeated itself. Nasty!

Have you taken ibuprofen like Advil? It sounds like you had a concussion.

Question

Thanks everyone I appreciate it very much.

Bernard: You're absolutely right - for years one of
the MAJOR complaints they've made to me is having
to "repeat" everything where they oftentimes just tell
me "Forget it, I'm not going to say it again..." (like in
that stance for example) and I would be often left out
in the blue with dozens of ????? hovering over my
head!

- OR -

They just give me the short version, but as the time
goes by, I then get a little more info here, there, and
there ... and you pretty much get the whole picture.

=================================

UPDATE:

On my mom's end - she's just had about enough,
and I'm not sure - but I sense my mom and sister
are up to something; because now that we all know
the "whole story" behind those two Epileptologists
and to the fact that none of the family members nor
I were ever informed of anything - I am leaving it at
that. Now if my father were alive; I dare not post
what would have happened! I shudder to even think
about it, for I know exactly what would have happened
specifically and precisely.

On my end - I hate it when I get smacked with these
big major seizures and notice I added the "s", for it
is because - I know more than one had to have happened
for it knocks my whole body cycle out of rhythm and
trying to get it all back on track is like trying to make
the earth "stop" and while you try to rewind or fast
forward the day or night so you can be back on "schedule"
(and to heck with everyone else - LOL).

It takes me several DAYS to get me all back in sync
with "normal human beings", unless my brain has
other plans.

Meanwhile, I'm now looking at the option of

Hi Brain,

The description you provided in your first message of this very topic thread, is a wonderful description for when a person starts off by having a...simple partial seizure, that advances into a complex partial seizure, that then advances into a tonic clonic seizure.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the "Medically Correct" words for all of those seizures combined is a "partial seizure, secondary generalized". One of the reasons how I know about this is because I have experienced all of those seizures, one right after the other, myself.
