Sharp pain in head

Hi All Again

On Saturday I had a very bad spell while out shopping for groceries. As I was taking the groceries to the car, I felt very whoosey and disorientated, and thought I was going to pass out. When I got to the car, and leaned over to put the groceries on the back seat, I thought for sure I was going, and I let out a cry. I got into the car (passenger side--hubby driving) and just started sobbing.

Later that day, I started having these bolts of electricity (that's what it felt like) start at the base of my skull on the back of my head, right side, that ran up to the top of my skull, that felt like they were around 1" wide if that makes any sense. I had about 6 of them that night, and one yesterday.

Any comments?????? I do see my Dr. on Wednesday.

Also I wanted to ask the people using this forum if they experience any problems with it....I find it jumps around a lot when I'm posting or reading. Will go from the top of a thread to the bottom of a thread, etc. I also find it is very slow loading...I don't have any problems with other forums. Just curious that's all....Need to know it's not me....lol

Hello!

Very definitely tell your doc about the sharp pains.

As for the forum.....the only time I have issues is when my internet service provider is having issues...

I find that I have two different kinds of headaches. One is on the right upper part of my head, and is brought on by something that I shouldn't have eaten; this is where I know if I've eaten MSG.
The second headache is on the left side of my head, kinda in the middle. This is the site of the headache I get sometimes following a seizure. This headache is fierce and can last for days. I simply live through it.
Back before I started the GARD, I experienced the same kind of shooting pain you're describing, coming out of my gut. I'm assuming it came up the vagus nerve and into the base of my skull on the left side. It was excruitiating. I am happy to report that this has stopped since I've been on the GARD.

As far as this site, I use Safari for my browser on an Apple and yes, sometimes this site is slower than most in loading. I stop the site from trying to load, clear the cache, and try to reload. Works everytime, for what reason I don't know.

Sorry to hear about this. As someone mentioned, excessive glutamate is probably the culprit. Occasionally I'll get these sharp pains myself, but more often I get this burning sensation on the top of my head that feels like someone dumped a tub of acid on my scalp or lit a fire in my skull! I can definitely relate.
