Sigh

I just need to rant and rave a bit... After being seizure free for a few weeks I got hit bigtime this weekend. First a lovely grand mal on Saturday, and then the complex and simple partials started piling up. I don't even know how many I've had. I'm so sore and tired it's not even funny. I think the worst is that I had that one in front of my new boyfriend. I told him about the E up front, but now he's all freaked out about me doing anything on my own.

I phoned my neurologist today and told him about it, and he says I must phone the office and make an appointment. I explain the problem to the receptionist, but the first available appointment is next week Wednesday.. I hope for a better week. If I keep having these things like this I'm gonna go sit in a corner and cry.... I have great respect for people who've been living with this for years.

Hi Pinky! Know how you feel. I remember the first time I had a seizure in front of my now hubby. I was certain he'd turn tail and run. But he didn't. Tell you what....to help the boyfriend, take him with you to the doctor's appt. That way, he can ask any questions he has.

Ohhh Pinky, that's bad news - sorry to hear that.

First and foremost, I'd say your boyfriend is pretty freaked out by it all, BUT look at it this way, by him wanting to be there all the time shows he cares.....much better than the sad ones who run as far away as they can, quicker than Forrest Gump ! So that's got to be good news, right ?

I hope you really don't have any more. Three weeks is a great time in my books, and you've done really well, it's just time to get back up on that horse and ride again.

PS. If you're gonna sit in the corner, at least take a laptop with you so we can carry on talking on here

Hi Pinky - Sorry to hear of your situation
If you haven't read it already, Epilepsy: A New Approach is a great book.
