Rain Cloud venting coz things are being chaotic

i thought life was going ok as i got an insulin pump (i have diabetes as well) a few weeks after i had my video EEG. i had the seizures they wanted to tape (descent sized ones to boot)...btw i have partial complex. they fiddled with my doses once again...and for a while it worked and i was going fit free. for a few weeks...then they started again.
the annoying thing is that i, and the specialist, cant find a pattern or trigger for them. i know stress and hormones are partially a trigger but how to explain the rest that randomly happen. its driving me crazy.
i just had a handful of what i class as medium ones an hour ago. i dont have any warning with my seizures. or if i do its about 2 sec. i was trying to relax....and stay warm (its 15*C...or 58*F here at the moment) and was snuggled up in bed when BLEAH! then they came. my Meduim ones are what most would nearly class as thier auras. i have a de javu feeling and see things happen that i feel have "been there seen that" but i cant move (and i drool something fierce)
i'm going to have some more tests done in Oct but i'm at the stage now when i'm almost screaming " i want some what of a normal life back!!!" instead of having to hang on and go for the ride. its annoying at the moment coz its controlling alot of what i do. i was relishing the freedom i got with my recieving and "installation" of my pump but then to have it shot down with more fits
i guess also parts of my family aren't helping either. grandma (on mum's side) is....a perfectionist and a control freak
i've kinda limited myself from going down to thier place coz i get super cheesed off but then again if i dont go down there occasionally i dotn really get out of the house as much.
i also guess another trigger lately is with mum being like....the queen of shebaand ordering me...and dad around (she cant do much at the moment coz she had an op and cant walk around too much or lift stuff for a while yet. but still...)
everything seems to be turning into one of THOSE weeks.

Sorry to hear about your rough time.

As far as the seizures go, maybe you should take up Zoe's challenge. Have you looked into diets (LGIT?), neurofeedback or neurobehavioral therapy?

You know,

Mr B has a good point. Perhaps it's time to look into alternative therapies now.....and diet is a good start. Neurofeedback and neurobehavioral therapy are also excellent choices. Check out the links I've posted for you for some more information.

So sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time. Stress can also trigger seizures. I hope you get everything under control soon.

thanks Bernard and Meetz. As a diabetic i follow the LGIT pretty closely as it works wonders with my blood glucose levels as well. i am having some more tests and an appointment with my specialist/neurologist in October (13th i think). they have been working on neurofeedback for a while. i think they are going to do a bit more with it in Oct
Some of the alternate treatments i have to check out totally as they may have reactions to the collection of medical conditions i have. (i also have asthma and a genetic bone condition..yeah talk about bad luck. i'm coping ok tho as it could be worse)
but also thanks for your support

Hi Tralee,
I also have Type 1 diabetes along with epilepsy, and like you said, I pretty much follow the LGIT diet, but still have complex partial seizures. It sounds like you have a good attitude under such overwhelming circumstances. Please try to not let the stress of your living conditions control you. That can bring on seizures. Hang in there!

Cindy
