Loudmouth, Michelle, tinasmom

Three years ago, I lost both my parents. Not a day goes by that I don't think of them. Daddy died March 25 and Mamma on July 7, BOTH form medical neglience. What I wouldn't give to have just 5 more minutes with them! /wipes away tears

I always have a big bash on the 4th but stopped when they died, just didn't want anymore parties. This year I have a HUGE BBQ planned, in their honor (we had BBQ's all the time when i was a kid) Time to move forward.

For those of us who have lost loved ones, our hugs....

For those of us who just feel awful

And for everyone else...

Dance and be happy!

Birdbomb -

I hope you have a great party. I take the anniversary of Tina's death off and we take balloons out to the cemetary to celebrate her life. Last year, we had a picnic at the park that her and Nicole would walk to to have picnics. Today was what I call one of my sad days, today it is 1 year and 11 months exactly since her death. As upbeat and together that I try to be, there are times when I just have to have a melt down. I will keep all you in my prayers and you all have such a special place in my heart.

Sending everyone BIG, BEAR HUGS

It's all about the timing I think. I've stated threads like these on my site and they fail but stuff I think is odd takes off like a rocket. Has to do with the audience and the mind set. When this one was begun, Riva had just died and there were others with recent losses and hardships. Stuff just runs in cycles, and people are receptive.

But I think YOU need a special hug. Missed see you around, I hope things are well and if not I hope they will be soon.

My DAD

Was An AMAZING artist, and on my first day of school, while I was getting ready for school, in the 5 minutes it took for me to eat my breakfast, he managed to draw an almost photographic quality pencil line drawing of me that still hangs in my Granny's house. He was Always a bit of a joker. At my Auntie's wedding,he hid a live rabbit in his top hat for the whole ceremony, and in her photo's, he managed to get it looking like he was a magician pulling the rabbit out of the hat in EVERY one of her pictures. He used to stop on motorways to pick up traffic cones, and the table in his room had traffic cones for legs. He once made shortbread with lots of salt and a pinch of sugar (the wrong way round) by mistake, and I had to pretend they tasted lovely! he used to make the most gorgeous cakes. He never missed the Formula one, He was a lorry driver who always had a can of coke in one hand, and a fried egg sandwich and a mars bar in the other!!That was my Dad!!

Loved hearing about your Dad!! Your Dad sounds like one of a kind!!! What great memories you have!!! I feel like that about my Mom..so many wonderful memories and feelings. It is funny, but my Mom just died this past April 16th. Pretty recenty. I cried alot before she died (because I knew her time was coming near) and after also..but I also feel a huge sense of peace and happiness that she is in a beautiful place! I miss her so much..but whenever I feel sad I think of all of my happy, sweet memories of my Dear Mom and my pictures to look at. Keep them close to your heart!! Hugs for everyone!!!!

I have a idea of what you're going through. I have lost my cousin several years ago. I have also lost some friends cause of their death. Every time I see a train it reminds me of my cousin death.
