If your life were an advertisement...

I was watching a video one of my friends posted to Facebook of her and her friends on a road trip having so much fun... I wanted her life so much I almost started to cry. But then my dark humor kicked in and as I was watching the video of good looking young professionals on the road having fun in beautiful places, I thought how her life was like a freakin’ Pepsi commercial! Then I started thinking about other friends and what commercials their lives would be. One would be an ad for a sleek camera for adventurous, serious photographers; another would be an ad for granola since she’s very outdoorsy, always going around the world hiking and caving; another would be an ad for a sporty but practical car for a young family on-the-go…then I thought about my life. Between me and my dad - me with my cane, Dad with his walker, wheelchair, etc.- I decided that my life would be an ad for a medical supplies company. I just had to laugh or else I’d cry. So...question: If your life were an advertisement, what would it be for…or what would you want it to be for????

I think it's so much easier to evaluate others than ones self though now I have to figure out what my friends lives would be commercials for.

Sleeping pills

"and here is Louise after a week of insomnia (Cue me stomping around going "ug ug ug and" crawling into a cave), and here is Louise after a good nights sleep!" (Me bouncing off the walls)

Anime addiction hotline.

I actually did that once; my sister was in a videography class and had to make an advert, and she chose to do it on the dangers of anime addiction. It turned out hilarious!

Hi Eric,

It's actually kind of fun to think what people's lives would represent. I'm just trying to think of something more postive for myself than the med supplies ad:/

Hey loopy lou,

I'm glad the sleeping pills are working! I remember you were a frequent member of the "Midnight Club". I like the idea of a "before and after" ad.

Hello Literophile,

I think my nephew needs that hotline too The video sounds fun

Travel bug - Nah, no sleeping pills for me, but at least the Tegretol I started a few weeks ago seems to be cancelling out the insomnia somewhat!

If my life was an advert I would advertise....

The new Range Rover Sport.

Individual, sophisticated and exclusive. In a Range Rover nothing is impossible....

An actual ad is a bit more fun for me than writing out a description.....

You know that feeling when things get good....

then it gets like this....
