- a known case of TLE for 30 years on medication. I have aura and tinnitus 5-6 times in a year rarely temporary amnesia following an attack. I am on Tegretal 700mg-0-600mg with Torleva SR 500 1-0-1. I have loss of recent memory from 10years following an accident in which, I had head injury and lost my sense of smell. My minor attacks are controlled except for tinnitus and these are triggered by hot water baths and loss of sleep which I avoid.
