- Seizure Background
- I am 37 years old and have had simple partial catamenial seizures, monthly, since the age of 12. Six instances of these petit mal seizures have developed into grand mal seizures, for reasons I will probably never understand. Initially, they were diagnosed as panic attacks, but once they developed into a grand mal seizure for the first time (at 18), I began seeing a neurologist and was officially diagnosed. I have never found a medication that controls them so I have gone physician and treatment free for almost 7 years now. I am contemplating trying yet again.....
