- Seizure Background
- I was diagnosed with complex partial seizures in 2002 after having have a grand mal seizure once a week for four weeks. I was placed on Trileptal. I was seizure free from 2002-2005 until the doctors tried to wean me off. This lasted for a month and I had another seizure. I was then placed on Tegretol. I was then seizure free until I was placed on Keppra (horrible for me) and had a seizure in 2007. I was then placed on Tegretol XR and have been seizure free since November 2007. As a result of the seizures/medication, I have had very frequent memory loss (constant), lack of critical thinking, tiredness, sleepiness, slowness, forgetting words, using the wrong words, and things of that nature.
