- Seizure Background
- My child John developed epilepsy at the age of 2 1/2 years of age. He has had grand mal, drop seizures, absence and tonic seizures. He has has been diagnosed with Doose Syndrome. He has never responded well to medications, and responded best to the ketogenic diet which we followed for 2 and 1/2 years. It stopped his drop seizures completely and all his seizures types have stopped other than brief nocturnal tonic clonic and nocturnal tonic seizures. He is now 7.
