- Had an episode over three years ago while on active duty. I went through the MEB process and challenged the board. Due to my career field being a non-deployable position and a few good words from my commander I was able to stay in. I have almost 8 yrs total active federal military service and 11 years of total service (Air National Guard). I was told that I need to schedule an appt. for my sleep apnea but I know once I do I'll be put back on profile since sleep apnea is a boardable issue. I have been told from my provider that I may get medically retired or just possible boarded out altogether. I just want to make sure i'm not short changed here.
