- Seizure Background
- My son has seizures which the medical profession have finally agreed are of a psychogenic nature; he developed them around the age of 13 years old have a history of induced, forceps delivered birth, subsequent abuse by his mother and her family. He is suffering from PTSD and the seizures appear to be part of the autonomic nervous system response to fear of chastisement and stress induced situations. He is 39 years old and the seizures have become part of his coping mechanism in life, until he can find another more suitable way of coping he will continue to have them; drugs are ineffective.
