I'm baaack!! They called a CODE BLUE on me in the ambulance and also at ER, said pupils were both dilated, called CVA *stroke* - BUT, a SMART well-informed dr. who put my IV in my juggler vein in neck, felt my chest even before the monitor was put on and said - she's breathing -

this is not a CODE she's just post-ictal.

When I could at least slur my words out, couldn't move, I kept saying POST ICTAL and none of the ER staff seemed to know what that meant!!! SHEEEESH!! Come on now - EPILEPSY AWARENESS

MONTH!! So, when I was totally "with it" I started informing every medical personnel that there are (I hope I'm right) about 30 types of seizures NOT just tonic-clonic (grand-mal) and that there are 3 stages - AURA, ICTAL, and POST-ICTAL. They said, "WOW - are you a nurse, you're really smart!!"

No, dah, just had this for 50 yrs!!!

Anyway, glad to be home, oh, then, the hospital messed up about my meds, did not give me the scripts, said the dr had them, got home, dr did not have them. Long story (u know me) short - finally got my meds about 11 p.m. last night.
NO seizures now (I hope for long time) - must take in both sodium and magnesium as 2 meds are messing w/electrolytes. THANK YOU BERNARD AND ALL FOR SUPPORTING ME!! YOU ARE AWESOMEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
