Hello, this my first note to this site. my daughter had her first seizure at age 7. at age 12 she had her first grand mal seizure. by age 16 she had probably had 250 grand mal seizures. multitudes of testing, medications, etc and very little control. she was extremely determined and did well in school as well as basketball and volleyball. at age 16 we changed her diet (through lack of success in all other areas) and the result was unbelievable and very successful. no seizures for 3 1/2 years. we lost our beautiful daughter to an accident that was caused from a seizure due to eating chocolate (carbohydrate) that was one of the main triggers to her seizures. we have written a book, started a non-profit foundation and have many goals that we are going to accomplish for our daughter and young people with seizures.

Hi Bernard I just noticed that you must also like Salvador Dali too? I have been absolutely fascinated by him and his intriguing work since I was at school. This one is a good one "Geopolitical Child Watching the Birth of the New Man" 1943. I would love to have met him, and have often wondered if he may have had a bit of Temp Lobe Epilepsy??!! as some of my auras remind me of some of his work. Cheers Elaine

My wife has epilepsy. I do not. She is currently using Dilantin, EEG neurofeedback, 9hrs/night sleep regimen and a pseudo-LGIT diet (restricting simple carbs, not total carbs).
