    Seizure Background
I am a 27 year old male college student I have had seizures for 14 months or so. My seizures usually hit me right after waking up, however on last friday afternoon, while having a talk with my 10 year old child I felt an aura come on, and I ran upstairs to get my pills. next thing I know, I am in the hospital in North Austin. the last two seizure spells were the only ones that anyone has seen, even though I have had a seizure every 4-6 weeks for the last 14 or so months. and in the last two seizure spells I had 3 full blown grand mal seizures in a few hours. Biting my tongue very hard several times over the last year. the drugs make me feel so stupid and dull as dishwater, I am having lots of trouble remembering things, and I tell people the same thing 2 or 3 times in one phone conversation, as if it were the first time. It is so frustrating! I should be graduating college with 2 degrees this year, and now I can't even tie my shoe. my very last seizure was one of my least violent ones, but they were able to record the EEG of it, and my seizure started in the left temporal lobe and then quickly spread to the rest of the brain. Thus far, I have been having very little luck with medications. I am hoping that this forum will help get my spirits up. I have been extremely depressed for the last few days that I was in the hospital. Tonight is the first night home, and it is 3am now; I can not sleep. I hope that this will be a happy and good place for me to come; I am having great difficulty coping with epilepsy. ... P.S. I hope that made sense.
