- Seizure Background
- Began having seizures about 1980. Probably had absence seizures before then. Went on Dilantin which one neurologist believed caused my osteoporosis and changed me to Tegretol. Have had only nocturnal seizures for the past 14 years about once a month even on the med. Am trying to control the breakthru seizures with more natural means and hope to get off meds completely. Am upset with myself that I didn't try to do this long ago. I'm 59, and I believe it's never too late.
