- Seizure Background
- I started having seizures when I was 22 years old. I wasn't sure what they were initially. They started
out as simple partial, then complex partial, and then one morning I experienced my 1st tonic/clonic as
I was stepping out of the shower I fell onto the hot water and suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns
on my back & right arm, side. I was in the hospital for 2 months. Had to have multiple skin debridement surgeries and skin grafts. - Treatments
- Currently- Keppra 3000 mgs + Topomax 200 mgs. Had an unsuccessful LTL. Tried: Dilantin, Phenobarbitol, Tegretol, Felbatol, Neurontin, drug study for Sabril, Lamictal, Trileptal. The VNS works for me
