CQ you deserve a lot for the smiles you put on my face with your jokes, so this is for you

    Wishing you a rainbow
    For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
    For golden happy hours—
    Shamrocks at your doorway
    For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!

About Me

  • About CQ:)
    Seizure Background
I was 1st diagnosed with epilepsy in the late 1970s after taking a tonic clonic seizure at 9 months, took tonic clonics on a regular basis until I was about 3 years old.

I went 21 years seizure free until I started taking seizures again in May 2002 when I was 24.
After my seizures returned I mainly took simple/complex partial seizures with the odd tonic clonic.
My neurologist tried me on 5 Anti Epilepsy Meds but none of the meds controlled the partial seizures so in late 2009 the neurologist suggested I have brain surgery.

I saw an epilologist in mid 2010 to discuss surgery then after having pre surgery tests I found out in late 2010 that I was a good candidate for surgery.
I had surgery in March 2011 to remove scarring on my left temporal lobe.

Since my surgery I've had good seizure control with no complex partial seizures or tonic clonics.
The only issue I've had is every now & again I get a funny feeling in my head which doesn't last long & doesn't affect my life.
