- Seizure Background
- My Dalmatian dog (6 years old) has been diagnosed with primary epilepsy in December 2007. She has been on Phenobarbitone and Keppra. Our vet recommended Phenobarbitone first but as it couldn’t control seizures Keppra was introduced as well after 2 months. Even on these medications she still has seizures every week or once in two weeks. She is also prone to cluster seizures (more then one within 24 hours). Every time she has another seizures our vet recommends for dosage of medications to be increased, and now the level of phenobarbitone in her blood is increased.
