- Seizure Background
- I experienced partial seizures between the ages 5 and 10. I was afraid to tell anyone,so I kept it to myself. I had a grand mal seizure at the age of 11. I discovered that I had a right temporal lobe tumor after my ct scan. I lived with complex partial seizures between the ages of 11 and 21. Underwent a right temporal lobectomoy/lesionectomy at the age of 22 I was prescribed 3000mg of keppra daily after my operation.I was also given 20mg of celexa for my servere depression. I went 1 year seizure free until I was weaned off the antidepressants. Now I have longterm damage from the celexa withdrawal.Now I experience grand mal seizures every two months,Parathesias on the left side of my body,panic attacks and occasional zapping throughout my body.After I restarted the antidepressants,my seizures became more frequent.So my dr. took me off of the celexa.

- I'm currently taking 3000mg of keppra a day. I will be starting 100mg of vimpat at bedtime on 6-6-11.
