    Lady Elaine:
The poem you wrote for your stepfather is beautiful. It had to be extra difficult for you to write it as you thought of your mum. You are so talented! Sincerely, Josette

    Hi Elaine:

I hope your day went well and I hope the start of the new med continues to show some improvement.

I do experience the deja vu's every now and then, but it's been so long since going through the aura feeling. The only thing I can remember is that it is one of the most terrible feelings that is actually impossible to try to describe to someone else. It's like a severe jolt of fear that you have no control over, and then the heart racing, severe panic, etc. For someone who's never experienced it, there is no way to even try to begin explaining it. Then, for each of us, there appear to be similarities, but then, we also have differences, as well. It's so complicated.

Prior to my surgery, my auras were actually what I would describe, believe it or not, as being a good feeling. But then after the surgery, that all changed, and going through the aura feelings seemed to be actually worse than the seizures themselves.

Wishing you well - keep ur chin up!
    Josie

    Hi Texas Travel

Don't apologise mate, I'm still not sure how to send messages on CWE. I got this one ok though thankyou, I've just hit this Post Message button, so I hope you get it ok. I also really hope that you didn't suffer too much damage in the bad weather lately!!?? What is going on with the world's weather eh? Even we here inthe UK used to have good Summers, and proper cold snowy Winters! nowadays, they are all mixed up, and somedays youdon't know what to wear in the morning, but it's advisable to have an umbrella in your handbag at all times!

Off to Hong Kong eh? You lucky things, it was a truly fascinating city, we loved every minute of Kow Loon and Bangkok, Cairo was amazing aswell, what got me about that city was the close proximity of luxury and poverty, you would see a Rolls Royce driving down a road alongside some poor old man with a herd of goats! That's what I love about world travel, seeing how different people live.

Malta is nearer to Italy than Spain, and is another truly beautiful country, I'd recommend it. I have really missed not getting away this year, and if I can just get a job soon, we won't have to cancel our Carribean Cruise that we have booked for next March.

That was cool eh? meeting the wife inside the great pyramid? We were asked if we wanted to go inside but I said no thanks and Mark didn't want to go in and leave me alone, I get bad claustrophobia, Mark is a firefighter so he would have gone in. We met in a bar, and if I hadn't had epilepsy, we'd never have met, as I was off work that particular day back in 1999.

Anyway, I hope you are ok, and that you have a fabulous holiday! Let me know how it goes eh?

    Best Wishes

    Elaine x

Sorry, I still do not, really, know how to use the private message functions, etc.

Yeah, we have had a jillion thing going on. Sorry.
We will be leaving for Hong Kong in the last week of September. My wife and her family are from Kowloon.
We will be watching the celebration from a high floor of a nice hotel. It will have a great view of all the fireworks, etc.

Tunisia sounds interesting, I would like to find out more about it, the history and architecture wise. Isn't Malta in Spain? I think we have been there. We have been in every country of Europe West of Germany. Europe has a lot of history that pertains to us. I did love Egypt and its historical background, plus it is where I met my wife. :-)

Wow! Getting married in Luxor sound exciting! The hotel that the two of you stayed in also sounds very exciting!
Yes, we did go to Luxor but since we were on a tour group trip, we did not get to stay long. I would like to go back to Israel and Egypt someday and spend more time there. It did impress me alot. :-) I do not think that we were able to go to the Valley of the Kings.

Sorry it has been so long from posting on the forum, we have been extremely busy. As the matter of fact, we are currently very busy. There is, currently, a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico and it will directly hit our town....lots of flooding and high winds!!! I think several of the moderators are close to me. One lives in Friendswood, which a small town outside of the Houston city limits. I think another member or two actually live in Houston itself. My wife and I live about 60 miles South of Houston...about 10 miles from the beach. There will be major flooding and high winds in our town. We just got through boarding up all of our windows, picking up everything in our yard that may blow around and cause major damage, tie down everything that we could not pick up, cage up our animals, etc., etc., etc. We arrived at a friends house, about 200 miles away and to the West of our town about 2 hours ago and are not even unpacked yet. I am just resting and trying to keep my mind from worrying about how our house may have the roof blown off and have 6 feet of water all throughout our house. Talk about stress and pressure...try that on for size.

I will try and check back later tonight and for the next few days. But, if there is damage to our house, I may be busy for a while. I will try to keep everyone informed about the latest events.

I hope you get this message because, as I have said, I do not know how these messages work and if you will receive this in your account or if you will have to check back here. If I do not hear from you, I will go to your account and try to send you a private message from there.

Tell everyone Hi! and I will try to check back soon.

    Hello Everyone

I'm still a bit blue, not familiar with being unhappy, as I have a wonderful man, a beautiful home, most of my health, and a basically sunny disposition, and thanks to you wonderful folk on CWE, I am really trying to stick my middle finger up to everything at the moment!!

I hope you are all ok? I just had an appointment to see my Head Proff, got to have an MRI, (I wonder if I can have a couple of glasses of red wine before they shut me in), and a chat about my current drug, KEPPRA YUK YUK YUK!!!!! that's all I can tell him really, I haven't felt inclined to launch myself in front of a bull nose Scania yet, but I have felt bloody miserable!! I'm NOT very good at being down, anyone got any jokes? Fire 'em through to me, I'll leave the computer on, love you all, and thanks so much for your priceless support folks!!!!

    Cheers

    Hello Elaine!

Thank you so much for the message. I hope everything gets better for you. Whatever you can do to get you mind off the negative things do it. I know it is so hard to do. But being down & out isnt going to help you. It sure never helped me. You have to be stronger than those bad moments and tell yourself. I am very sorry to hear that you had to cancel alot of important things that you were looking forward to. You really deserve those trips. I can say I understand that situation. Thats why I have been going to beach to get away from home. Walking to beach and listening to the waves is a relaxing thing. It gets my mind off other things and as I am there, I get my exercise walking the beach.

I just wanted to say dont let all of this make you feel so down and out with so much greatness you have or had in life. Especailly things to come. Things get better as long as you make it that way. You have so many people that care about you and if you ever need anyone to talk to you know where to find me. Take care of yourself and stay strong. Keep your head up high.

    Hi Elaine

It has been awhile. My wife and I have been tremendously busy that I have missed school lessons, not been able to make my local organization meetings, etc., etc.

Things are just starting to get back to some form or normal. Sorry I have not been on the forum in a while, I am going to start being around more now.

My wife and I are going to Hong Kong in late September so I will not be here from late September to early October.

Try to keep your head up, Elaine. I know it is hard, I have my moments, at times also.
Sorry to hear that you are having to cancel so many things. I pray that things will get better. Try to keep your eyes on the full half of the glass. From my experiences, it helps to try to count the things that are going right and not vice versa. I am sure there are many, many things....things that you may take for granted. Sometimes we forget those good things that happen every day, always trying to focus on the bad.

Smile at the sunrise. Think of how you got this far. You got through those things and you will get through the current ones.

Keep in touch and let me know how things are going. Don't let yourself get to down, you are talking to someone who knows how that can be. :-)
