    Hi Angelo
Great to hear from you! I didn't have surgery on both sides, only on the right temp lobe. The first op was to remove the scar, caused by forceps, the second op, same scar, as I had developed sclerosis of the hippocampus, part of the brain in the temporal lobe, and was causing my seizures to start again after being five years seizure free. Only 4-5% of us with epilepsy, are suitable for surgery,so we are very fortunate to at least have a chance, some people have no chance of being seizure free. Unfortunately, epilepsy is one of those conditions, that will possibly be with some of us all our lives, there are no promises made. It's only natural for you to be worried about pain, but I was texting as I was wheeled out of theatre, it just felt like I'd been smacked with a baseball bat, but there is no feeling in the actual brain itself, so you 'll only get the pain from your skull, but it's really not that bad I promise with pain management these days. Keep in touch, Lol Lainey XX

    Hi Folks
    Hi Lainey,
    Glad to hear from you.
I'm doing fine ~ no seizures.
I'm surprised to hear that Mark is getting married. How are you taking that?
Are you invited to the wedding?

I'm just back from my second trip to Jamaica to visit my son-in-law, my daughter married a Jamaican back in October 2011. We are waiting for the immigration paperwork to go through so he can move up here.
It's completed at this end but the Jamaican Embassy is soooo slow (they're on Jamaican time) and it could take up to a year. Jamaicans aren't even allowed to leave their country for a vacation without going through tons of paperwork, sometimes iot can take months.
As a result, my daughter will be making lots of trips to Jamaica in the up comming year or so. She's gone there 10 times already.
BTW ~ I've never heard of Zumba.
Good luck on the job front, don't give up.
