    Hello Elaine!

Thank you so much for the message. I hope everything gets better for you. Whatever you can do to get you mind off the negative things do it. I know it is so hard to do. But being down & out isnt going to help you. It sure never helped me. You have to be stronger than those bad moments and tell yourself. I am very sorry to hear that you had to cancel alot of important things that you were looking forward to. You really deserve those trips. I can say I understand that situation. Thats why I have been going to beach to get away from home. Walking to beach and listening to the waves is a relaxing thing. It gets my mind off other things and as I am there, I get my exercise walking the beach.

I just wanted to say dont let all of this make you feel so down and out with so much greatness you have or had in life. Especailly things to come. Things get better as long as you make it that way. You have so many people that care about you and if you ever need anyone to talk to you know where to find me. Take care of yourself and stay strong. Keep your head up high.

    Hi Elaine

It has been awhile. My wife and I have been tremendously busy that I have missed school lessons, not been able to make my local organization meetings, etc., etc.

Things are just starting to get back to some form or normal. Sorry I have not been on the forum in a while, I am going to start being around more now.

My wife and I are going to Hong Kong in late September so I will not be here from late September to early October.

Try to keep your head up, Elaine. I know it is hard, I have my moments, at times also.
Sorry to hear that you are having to cancel so many things. I pray that things will get better. Try to keep your eyes on the full half of the glass. From my experiences, it helps to try to count the things that are going right and not vice versa. I am sure there are many, many things....things that you may take for granted. Sometimes we forget those good things that happen every day, always trying to focus on the bad.

Smile at the sunrise. Think of how you got this far. You got through those things and you will get through the current ones.

Keep in touch and let me know how things are going. Don't let yourself get to down, you are talking to someone who knows how that can be. :-)

Hi Elaine, you can send a PM to 5 people at a time. Just separate their usernames with a semi-colon in the TO: box. If you copy/paste the text of your PM into Notepad, MS Word, etc., you can copy/paste it back to the forum for a 2nd or 3rd PM if you need to contact more than 5 people.

Yes, I enjoy the Dali paintings. They are fascinating/interesting because they are so unusual.

Sorry about the confusion. I am not sure if I am supposed to respond here or to post another message in my own area.

Anyway, Wow! It is incredible that he remembered you! That is great!

Glad to hear things are going good with the surgery. Just try to remember that each new day is moving forward and try not to dwell on the past. It is hard, I know, but it is a goal. Just try to remember the good times with your Mum. It is the best thing.

Glad to hear that your epilepsy is doing better, I will be praying that everything will work out. It is definitely moving in the right direction. Getting back to work will be a good thing also. I know it is one that would help me. I do understand wanting to get out, also, I have the same emotion.

Once again, I am not sure if this is the method that I should take responding or if I am supposed to respond in my own area.

Looking forward to hearing from you, keep me updated and have fun!!!

    Sincerely,

    TexasTravel (Bo, really)

    Hi All

I am in my second week since my surgery, and I have to say that although I haven't had any seizures as such, I have had quite intense auras, I hate to admit this, but I have always said that I could deal with having epilepsy if it wasn't for my terrifying auras! I am actually in my auras, I see people, I kinda live it, I taste it, smell it, feel it, please tell me if anyone out there knows what I mean by that? I am so fascinated by the human brain, and these auras are quite amazing, they don't follow any pattern, I suppose they can be triggered by stress and worry, but not neccesarily, it doesn't seem to follow any pattern. I get extemes of emotion, but of course my right Hippocampus was in The Limbic System, and of course this part of the brain looks after our emotions, moods, spatial awareness (map reading girls) I am trying to be positive folks, I am working on my University Certificate in Epilepsy Care & Management, I've had it briefly assessed and the feedback was totally positive, I am so pleased, I've spent four years on this course, and I so hope that I can turn it into something positive and worthwhile at the end of it. I do so want to drive again though, I can see my car out on the drive from here, and so many more doors will be open to me if I can get behind the wheel again! I've already been offered a job back in plant hire, but I will have to be mobile as the office is a fair way away from where I live.
I hope you are all ok, thanks again for your wonderful support during my time in hospital, I shall be mentioning this terrific website in my book once I get it typed up and hopefully published.
I'm off down to the coast with my partner in a wee while, to visit my dad, we have my fiancee's 14 year old daughter with us, so i'm trying to be mummyish, not very good at it never having had any of my own, but I'll do my best.
Have great weekend all of you, and I'll get back to you when I come home on Monday.
