    Lady Elaine:
The poem you wrote for your stepfather is beautiful. It had to be extra difficult for you to write it as you thought of your mum. You are so talented! Sincerely, Josette

    Hi Elaine:

I hope your day went well and I hope the start of the new med continues to show some improvement.

I do experience the deja vu's every now and then, but it's been so long since going through the aura feeling. The only thing I can remember is that it is one of the most terrible feelings that is actually impossible to try to describe to someone else. It's like a severe jolt of fear that you have no control over, and then the heart racing, severe panic, etc. For someone who's never experienced it, there is no way to even try to begin explaining it. Then, for each of us, there appear to be similarities, but then, we also have differences, as well. It's so complicated.

Prior to my surgery, my auras were actually what I would describe, believe it or not, as being a good feeling. But then after the surgery, that all changed, and going through the aura feelings seemed to be actually worse than the seizures themselves.

Wishing you well - keep ur chin up!
    Josie

    Hi Josieb

I've just dropped in to CWE for the usual support, and I thought I'd say hi! This is a wonderful place to be when you feel a bit low eh? I'm so determined to keep smiling! I'm going to put a thread on about auras as I really want to find someone on here who has the same sort of auras that I have, and ask them what type of medication they have for them. I've started the Trileptal, and although only a really low dose to start with, the auras have more or less vanished! Fingers crossed eh?!

Hope to hear from you soon, and I hope all is well with you guys?

    Love

    Hi Josie

Thanks for your message, I think you are the first person I've ever known to have had Catameniel Epilepsy, that was interesting.

I just wanted to drop in and say that I'm feeling better today, but I am on my own until Friday morning, as Mark is a firefighter, he is working the next two nights tonight and tomorrow, I do miss him so much when he's away, and this is the first time I've been alone at night since I came out of hospital, if only that hadn't happened the other day, I would have been fine, it really threw me out that did, but never mind, I've just felt a little bit panicky since then, I just hope I can sleep ok tonight, it has been so very hot here in the UK, not that I'm complaining, it makes a change to have a decent Summer, I think we have thunder coming tomorrow.

I hope all is well with you? It would be great if we could all meet up somewhere wouldn't it? What a terrific bunch of people here on CWE aren't they? I think I might have a couple of drinks and then have a fairly early night, I can always watch tv in bed.

It was nice to see that you are in a happy realtionship too, we are lucky eh? Mind you, I sure had to wait a long time for Mr Right, worth it though, I just sometimes wish he didn't have to work nights sometimes.

I'll keep in touch, it's always good to talk to people who simply understand, it's good too that you've had surgery, we have a lot in common don't we, I'm a bit older, I was 45 in May, nearly half a century old!! Where did that time go eh?

I'll write again soon, and I hope you are ok?

    Best Wishes

    Elaine x
