The only Latin I know is "Radix mallorum est cupiditas" from Shakespeare's "Othello" It translates as The love of the things of this world are the root of all evil.

    Hi TF

I haven't replied before now as I have been down in Devon all Bank Holiday weekend at my Dad's. Hope you had a good one, and the weather was kinder to you than it was to us?!
Thanks for your comments on my Thread about the dreaded word "Epileptic" I am so glad that you agreed with me, I don't think anyone has ever disagreed, but how can anyone be pleased to be labelled like that, I always think if you say the work in a Dalek voice, it kind of sums it all up, it is a horrible word, and it does not enter my vocabulary!! I'm glad you put that person right when they referred to you like that. Please forgive me if I already told you this, but I had a guy ask me once "Elaine, why don't you drive?" I simply said "Because I have epilepsy" no word of a lie, the idiot okked me up and down a couple of times, and said "Wow, you so don't look like you've got epilepsy!" I said to him, "What the f--k am I supposed to look like you bloody dickhead?!" That to me just said it all!!! When I spoke in The House of Lords and The Commonwealth Institute, and on various radio and tv iterviews in the past, I have always quoted this, as an example of the general public's misconceptions of epilepsy, there are some 40 odd different types of seizure, but of course they all think that it involves, being affected by flashing lights, being on the floor, legs akimbo, peeing ourselves, biting our tongues, making animal like noises, etc! Like you said, I also never say that I "Suffer" with epilepsy, people with cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimers etc suffer, I'm not usually "there" when I have a wobbler, it's the people around me that suffer with it in a tongue in cheek way, bit I'm sure you know what I mean eh? I'm sure you do!
So, you're on Keppra huh? How do you get on with it, and what dosage are you on, I'm on 1,500mg am, and 1,000mg pm, I also take Trileptal for my Simple Partial Seizures/Auras which has been a great help, Keppra makes me tired, but then a good Shiraz probably doesn't help eh?!
I hope you are well as you read this, and that you're pretty much wobbly free? I had two Complex Partials while away in Devon, and with one of them, I threw a glass of orange juice everywhere!!!! Well, the only good thing there is, at least it wasn't a waste of a good red wine eh?!!!
Write soon mate, and I hope all is well with you?

    Lotsalove

    Lainey xx
