- Seizure Background
- I was diagnosed at 5yrs old with Tonic Clonic Seizures or Grand Mal. Nobody in my family has epilepsy. Medications have always helped me I was on lamictal 100 mg am and 100 mg p.m. for about 7 years. I've been on several medications(Phenobarbital, tegretol, carbatrol, and now lamictal) After 12 years of being Seizure free. I decided that I wanted to try and ween off my lamictal. Every time i've tried it's always resulted in a seizure. On Dec 31st 09 I had a Nocturnal TC. I was one month off my meds completely after starting the process in August 09. All of the EGG's and tests have been normal. I would like to be able to control my life with out the medication although i know that i am lucky that it does. Any suggestions and feedback is appreciated.
