- Seizure Background
- I've had epilepsy all my life. I've had temporal lobe and generalised epilepsy neither of which were very well controlled. Ten years ago while living in Britain I had the opportunity to have neurosurgery to remove my right temporal lobe. This was very successful resulting in the complete treatment of my temporal lobe epilepsy. I still have generalised epilepsy but this is very well controlled by a combination of Sodium valproate and Dilantin. Occasionally I may still have the odd tonic clonic seqizure but this is usually after getting very stressed and is generally associated with stress from interpersonal relationships. I am now 52 and having my condition under good control makes life so much more fun.
