- I developed epilepsy at 16 yrs old. It was told to my family its hereditary. I am 33 yrs old and still have it. I really dislike this 'thing'. I was on trileptal, tegretol, dilantin. I was on Dilantin and lamictal together. I am currently on Lamictal alone. I never noticed I was sweating so much before until the doctor increased my dosage to 1pill in A.M and 2 P.M. I have dislaiked this med since start because of the dizziness, emotionally sensitive, uncoordinated, very sleepy and sweating even when its cold outside.
