- Seizure Background
- My daughter has absence seizures with myoclonic jerks and has been medicine resistant. Right now she's on Keppra, Piracetam and Diamox! We attempted the ketogenic diet but it didn't go well so had to abondon it, I was not pleased plus I didn't have any support from my husband either. I knew in my heart that it was the right thing to do because my daughter was doing well and was very bright eyed and bushytailed but with no support it's hard to do and she's got such a sweet tooth she'll go rummaging through everything to get something sweet!! I know now that I'll have to lock things up! Anyway, this is my story and I'm always looking for new ideas that will help my daughter and her seizures.
