- Seizure Background
- Started in '07 after head on collision with drunk driver on the freeway. Another freeway collision (hit my head pretty hard in both accidents) made things worse. I was having all kinds of problems with headaches, hearing what sounded like a radio but I couldn't make out the words, smelling a strange smell for no reason, deja vu and the opposite, sudden sense of overwhelming terror for no reason, and even on one occasion, briefly found myself "floating" over my body. Also some vision troubles in one eye that were not caused by any eye trouble the eye doctor could find. The neurologist said it was all because of migraines, but yesterday, the neuropsych #1 (they have 3 different ones assessing TBI from the accidents) looked at my chart and said it was temporal lobe epilepsy caused by the brain injury.
