I'm Alison, Aodan's mum. He has Fetal Valproate too. We have a thread going called "Children with Fetal Vanti-Convulsant Syndrome", in The Foyer. There are so many different names for FVS, it seems its hard to keep up. Aodan's diagnosis is Valproic Acid Embryopathy. My guess is the docs are trying to keep us confused.
I am SO glad the girls in the UK have managed to jump on those cows who make these drugs. They deserve to be locked up and the key thrown away. I wish we could do that over here.
It is so nice to know that I'm not out floating in the Valproic Acid ocean alone. Some days in does feel like that-but the hugs sure make it easier.
