    Seizure Background
On May 13, 2009 I had an event. I was at home alone with my 2.5 years old granddaughter talking on the phone with my sister. My sister said she heard a holler, not knowing if it was coming from Emma or me I became unresponsive. She heard Emma say, wake up Mema it's not time to take a nap. Emma kept telling me to wake up. I was transported to the nearest hospital and they ran several test. They first thought I had had a stroke. They ran a CT, MRI, and an EEG. They finally concluded a seizure.
I am receiving treatment from a Neurologist. I am on the 4th medication. I just had another
EEG and am still having seizures during the test. I don't feel or know that I am having. The people around me don't know I am having them. The doctor said I had about 35 last week. They are not lasting as long but faster. I have been on Lamictal, Ethosuximide , Oxcarbazepine and now I am on Divalproex. I don't know what is really is going on. I really believe I had this event because the day before I had help my husband take down a swimming pool. I got terribly hot. I had ringing in my ears. I really thought I had a heat stroke. Tell me what you think!!!!
