- Seizure Background
- I have had temporal lobe epilepsy since I was 3 y/o. It began with tonic clonic seizures, and in my early twenties, I found out I was also having complex partial seizures. I had a major change in seizures then and of course, in my life because of it. I lost my job and the love of my life. After a lot of searching, I found a wonderful epileptologist who helped get my therapy straight. I now have VNS and am on Topamax and Lamictal. I have also gone to nursing school and earned a BSN. The only problem is, the flourescent seem to irritate me now, so how am I supposed to hold a job in the medical field after all this hard work????
