- Seizure Background
- I had my first seizure(grand mal) as a 24 year old adult from brain trauma that occured when I was 16. The seizures lasted two years, spent time in hospitals, clinics, many doctors and drugs. I missed two years of work teaching school. As quick as it came, it went away. Thirty years later, the seizures have returned. I found myself driving down the street the wrong way, getting lost, and confused. I am seeing a neurologist, taking Kepra twice a day. I still am very confused, unable to drive or function as a "normal" 60 year old woman.
