- Probably have had epilepsy since childhood -- parents didn't have good luck getting doctors to listen. Diagnosed while in college a long, long time ago. Evidently generlized, but no one has ever seen one, just have been EEG's. Recently had 24 hour EEG and showed lots of activity, but can't get good info from neuro. Changing meds, having terrrible headaches. Hate to see new neuro because they always change meds. 1/09 update: Had been on Keppra; cried every morning, screamed at my husband every night, about 45 minutes after dosing. Was truly not sure that I'd live. Now on Dilantin while they VERY slowly up Lamictal. Neuro from earlier note has been replaced by E specialist.
- Treatments
- Dilantin 300 mg/day; Lamictal -- slowly SLOWLY upping it. Hope is to get off Dilantin since it has already cost a fortune at the dentist and electrologist when I was on it before!
