    Hey there John,
You have a damn good point! Out here in urban southern Calif. we have access services for transportation. But they test your seizures. If you're able to walk up a flight of stairs you're not eligable for them. So the only way for a person with epilepsy to get them is with a letter from the doctor.

    Seizure Background
Since 30 years old. Started abruptly, no warning. Had for past 25 years. Tried different things, but same thing: A few times a year, I have a major blackout followed by a few days of minor brain shorts. Medication doesn't seem to help (actually seems to be adding to problem!), considering quitting altogether. Becoming skeptical about how much MDs know.
    Treatments
Have tried Valproic Acid, Tegretol, and Dilantin. Currently switched to Dilantin from Tegretol.
    Location
    Amherst, MA
    Interests
Writer, creative thinker, electronic music listening/compostion, creative photo editing, hiking
