    Hey Josie~
How are you doing? I do want to say I have read your messages. I appreciate every word you have sent to me. Everytime I get a message from you, it puts a huge smile on my face. I want you to know I will be thinking about you while I am at the Epilepsy Walk. I am doing this for all of you. This condition has been part of my and always will even if I dont have another seizure. It has changed my life. I will never forget what it is like having a seizure. I want to still be part of Epilepsy Foundation and the walks every year. I am going to try to do one every year. This year I raised $140. Yay! Well, you take care and I will let you know how it goes when I get back. Talk to you soon.

Hi, how goes it??? I'm ok. Right now. lol. My postictal times seem to be almost like a coma and the EMT's run all the pain tests to see if I am REALLY in a coma - I'm in there and try REALLY hard during that stage to "talk" with eyemovement - about the 1st thing that "comes back" to me. Am glad temporal lobe epilepsy is finally recognized. In the 80's in Central FLA they tested me for Narcolepsy due to my super frequent blank outs and coma like states and discovered the EEG showed seizures in my sleep - weird. After much testing, they, '80's, could do nothing for me in Central FLA and so my husband (deceased) and I both quit our jobs and moved with our 2 kids and what would fit in our car to Memphis, TN so I could see Dr. Deitrich Blumer of the epileptologist-Care Center there - he said at that time I had Temporal Lobe Syndrome and his psych friend said a "Histrionic" personality disorder???? WAY back, late '70's, I was "exorcised" because the doctor thought I had a demon!!!!! Hey, I've been through 5 life-times of events and come to find out it is almost all because I have a wacky TL!!.

    OH - I RAMBLE - sorry.

That seems to be part of my "ME".

    God bless you. Gail Lynn

    GO BIG TEN!

Terelle is a very gifted athlete and I look forward to seeing him play for the next few years. This week's game should be great. My Buckeye's need to play as good as they did last week, plus some to win Saturday. I will be watching.

Terelle played a few miles from you? Todd Boeckman (who he replaced) played High School ball just a few miles from me.

    Hi Josieb

I've just dropped in to CWE for the usual support, and I thought I'd say hi! This is a wonderful place to be when you feel a bit low eh? I'm so determined to keep smiling! I'm going to put a thread on about auras as I really want to find someone on here who has the same sort of auras that I have, and ask them what type of medication they have for them. I've started the Trileptal, and although only a really low dose to start with, the auras have more or less vanished! Fingers crossed eh?!

Hope to hear from you soon, and I hope all is well with you guys?

    Love

    Seizure Background
My partial complex seizures began in my early teens and were under control for a period. Then, in 2005, the seizures started again it was determined that I had a tumor on my left temporal lobe. After going through the testing, I had surgery in late February 2006. In May 2006, I began having a different form (simple partial) seizures. After trying several medication combinations, I have been seizure free since September 11, 2007. I still deal with the side effects and fears, but hopefully, as time goes on, it will get better. Ever since the surgery, I deal with panic attacks and not being comfortable out in public, but I keep trying - one day at a time.
